I am a very sweet-toothed person. I can never refuse pastries, cupcakes, muffin or any other diet-destructing sweeties.
That is why, when I come across this beautiful and deliciously decorated pastry shop in Gent, my heart melts.
Ghent is not as popular as Brugges or Bruxelles, but sometimes, you just have to walk and wander around…and not putting any pressure to find things…and then you’ll meet something special, a happy accident…serendipity.
“Baked with love, served with joy” is Julie’s word to expressed how they treat their client. Along with warm smile and kindness, Julie has a wide selection of cupcakes, pies, muffin, cupcakes and scones. They also propose different breakfast choices, ranging from mini to big or healthy breakfast as well as kids menu.

Cupcakes flavours including Raspberry and Cream Chees, Rhubarb, Banana, Lime and Bluberry.
And to accompany your pastries, try their delicious caffe latte or their tea (I had a fresh orange juice as it was nearly 28° C) . Julie also dispose a variety of the well-known Kusmi tea and Scandinavian-inspired Løv Organic tea.
Last but not least, my choice for the day :
Speculoos and white chocolate cake – a must to try the speculoos , a Flanders speciality (also called Dutch Windmill cookies in the US and Australia).
A summery-feel dessert with raspberry trifle
