Today I discover this wonderful collaboration project by Yoox and Case da Abitare where they combine two of my passion, fashion and design.
Case da Abitare is in fact a lifestyle magazine in which they feature news and articles on furniture, design, travel, personalities and much more. In the other hand, Yoox.com is a virtual store for multi-brand fashion and design where I spend quite a lot of time browsing their carefully selected items in clothing, accessories and design stuffs. Here are some of my picks from this campaign :
The first batch is a more structured items. This statement necklace will definitely toughen up a girlish dress for the upcoming spring. The same goes to this superb Margiela boots. I really think that this is a good example of a wise investment that will be your wardrobe staple, season to season. While for my appartment, I really love this simple yet stylish lamp and the stool that can also be a side table.
Well, life can’t be just black or white. Let’s put some colours with another selection of items from this collaboration!
This second selection is for me by the cream of the cream in design and fashion. I think I can wear anything by Dries Van Noten forever. This chair surely adds a touch of colours amist black and sombre furnitures in my living room. While Philippe Starck is not my usual choice, these lucite stools is a classic that can lighten a bit my bar/kitechen area. Last but not least, this japanese-inspired ceramic is by Milan-based designer Alessandro Mendini can double as a table centre or used to serve minimalist canapés or amuse-bouche.
Check out all of the items in this project here. They also put a “making-of” video where you can see the model working hard to stand among the furnitures :)
Hope everyone is having a glamourous weekend with Oscar this Sunday as well as Cesar ceremony for the Frenchies tonight.
P/S : A small shout-out to one of my favorite Lilloise designer, Genna M with her more-than-awesome selection of “Old Movies” selection. Check-out her website and her Facebook page here, or visit her boutique if you are in town!
