Afternoon at Le Touquet

Le Touquet is a small coastal town in the Pas-de-Calais department. This charming town is known to be an elegant weekend destination for the rich and upscale population of Paris as it is situated merely 3-hours car ride from the capital.

As Le Touquet gather the rich and the famous (the majority of them but not exclusively of course), most of the sports tournaments and cultural events held in town are organized by club houses, hotels or the casinos.  The villas in Le Touquet are also famous among architecture lovers, captured by the 1920’s and 1930’s style in these buildings.

During my short afternoon visit, this little gem of the north was packed with summer vacationers. Mr. and I had a nice walk in the town center before heading to a small café to have tea time. Hope you enjoy my iPhone photos here!
