It’s a long weekend here in France so I have a lot of things planned in my head. Apart from window shopping for Christmas present (the hunt is on but I’ll start slow), we have two fabulous exhibitions here in Lille.
Happy Birthday – Gallerie Perrotin / 25 ans
This exhibition is in tribute to the renown French art gallery owner, Emmanuel Perrotin and his artistic journey. Here you can have a look at an exceptional art collection by artists who have been working with Perrotin Gallery such as Aya Takano, Philippe Parreno and others.

Danish paintings – Le siècle d’or de la peinture danoise
This second exhibition tracks back the Danish art starting from the 19th century. It is actually a private collection owned by a French art collectionneur who have been collecting almost two hundred pieces of Danish paintings of this period, from artist such as Abildgaard, Eckersberg, Lundbye, Melbye and Rorbye. I am totally unfamiliar with the theme, not like my previous visit to Lichtenstein (you can read it here) where the name and masterpieces from the collection are world-wide famous. However, I expect a lot of beautiful and surprising encounters.
Musée de la Piscine, Roubaix
23, rue de l’espérance
TRAIN : Gare de Roubaix
METRO : Ligne 2, arrêts “Gare Jean Lebas” ou “Grand’Place”

Two different places and two different styles we have here this weekend (and both exhibitions last until early next year). I am looking forward to stroll around both exhibitions and I’ll definitely share them with you here on my blog.
Have a nice weekend!
